1. Introduction & Governing Law

Welcome to Sunny's Budget Meals. By placing an order through our website (sunnysbudgetmeals.co.za), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms operate in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) of South Africa.

2. Halal Guarantee & Quality Assurance

We are committed to delivering clean, wholesome, and delicious food that you can trust:

100% Halal Ingredients: All meats, poultry, and food components used in Sunny's Budget Meals are sourced exclusively from certified Halal suppliers. No pork, pork derivatives, or alcohol products are handled or stored in our kitchen facilities.
No Added Preservatives: Our meals are prepared fresh and blast-frozen immediately to seal in natural nutrients and flavor without artificial preservatives.
Quality Control: Every batch undergoes strict temperature and hygiene checks prior to packing and dispatch.

3. Allergen & Ingredient Disclaimer

IMPORTANT ALLERGEN WARNING:

Our meals are prepared in a commercial kitchen facility that handles a wide variety of ingredients. While we maintain rigorous sanitation standards, cross-contamination may occur.

Common Allergens Present: Our facility processes ingredients containing Soy, Milk/Dairy, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Eggs, Wheat/Gluten, Fish, and Sesame.
Customer Responsibility: If you or anyone consuming our meals has a severe or life-threatening food allergy, please exercise caution. Sunny's Budget Meals cannot guarantee an environment 100% free of allergen traces and accepts no liability for allergic reactions.

4. Food Safety & Storage Instructions

Because our products are perishable frozen food items, proper handling upon receipt is required:

Immediate Freezing: Meals arrive frozen or chilled. You must inspect and transfer all items into a freezer maintained at -18°C or colder immediately upon delivery.
Thawing & Reheating: Meals should be thawed safely in a refrigerator or microwave before heating. Do not refreeze meals once they have been completely defrosted.
Storage Liability: Sunny's Budget Meals is not responsible for food spoilage, contamination, or quality degradation resulting from improper storage after successful delivery.

5. Shipping & Delivery Policy

Delivery Timeline: All orders are processed, prepared, packed, and delivered within 5 to 7 working days from the date payment is confirmed.
Perishable Goods Handling: All meals are securely packed in thermal packaging. It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure a designated recipient is present at the delivery address within the scheduled delivery window.
Delivery Address Accuracy: Please double-check street names, unit numbers, and contact phone numbers at checkout. We are not liable for spoiled or lost meals due to incorrect delivery details.
Failed Delivery Attempts: If our driver arrives and is unable to reach you after multiple contact attempts, the driver will proceed with remaining route deliveries. Re-delivery will incur a secondary courier fee.

6. Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may be cancelled prior to dispatch by contacting support. Please note that all voluntary cancellations incur a mandatory 20% administrative and handling fee. This fee is deducted from your total refund amount to cover merchant payment processing fees and stock preparation allocation.

7. Return & Refund Policy

In accordance with Section 20 of the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), public health regulations restrict the return of perishable food items once delivered.

Damaged or Compromised Goods: If your order arrives damaged, defrosted, or incorrect, you must report it to us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photographic evidence of the issue and packaging.
Approved Refunds: Verified defective items will be re-delivered or refunded. Approved refunds (minus any applicable administrative fees) will be credited to your original payment card or bank account via PayFast within 5 to 7 working days.
Exclusions: Refunds will not be granted for personal taste preferences, incorrect delivery details provided at checkout, or failure to collect/store meals promptly upon arrival.

8. Payment Methods & Security

All payments are processed through the encrypted PayFast gateway. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Instant EFT, and supported digital wallets. Orders are queued for preparation only after full payment verification is received.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Sunny's Budget Meals shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our website or consumption of our products outside specified handling guidelines.
